Our Oversized Glass Process
Cutting and Sizing
Production begins by cutting jumbo glass stock to the required dimensions. Specialist Glass Products can process panels up to 6000 × 3210 mm, with options for curved glass up to 5900 × 3200 mm, as well as other large sizes depending on whether the glass will be toughened, laminated, or double glazed.
Processing and Treatment
Once cut, the oversized glass can be processed to suit the project. This may include toughening up to 6000× 3200 mm, heat soaking to 2300 × 5800 mm, laminating up to 6000 × 3200 mm, or producing double glazed units up to 5800 × 3200 mm.
Finishing and Inspection
The glass is then finished through polishing, painting, or drilling, where required. Next, every panel is carefully inspected to ensure it meets the highest standards of accuracy, strength, and finish before leaving our Yorkshire factory.
