What is structural glass?

Structural glass is a partially frameless glass product, where the glass itself takes some of the structural load of the structure in which it is fitted.

What is structural glass used for?

Structural glass has many uses in architecture; including windows, feature roofs, doors, balustrades, floors and many more. It can be created in varying strengths for a variety of different use cases.

How is structural glass made?

Structural glass is made using a combination of glass materials/thicknesses which are usually thermally toughened/tempered then bonded together using vacuum and heat, to give the extra strength and safety required.

What are the benefits of structural glass?

One of the main benefits of structural glass is that it does not require a continuous 4 edge supporting frame to support the installation. Structural glass is ideal for large architectural glazing projects.
