What did we supply?

15 panels of 21.5mm low-iron toughened curved glass were supplied, manufactured to follow the staircase’s exact radius. SGP manufactured each curved glass panel to precise technical specifications, ensuring an exact fit and flawless finish. The team reviewed detailed measurements and drawings to ensure accuracy for the bespoke curvature.
Advanced production techniques were required to meet the demanding radius requirements. It was important to ensure rigorous quality checks throughout manufacturing to maintain the highest standards. SGP coordinated closely with Verto Architectural to align production and delivery with installation schedules.
Challenges and solutions
The project called for an intricate design, and delivery was required within just 15 working days to meet the build schedule. Curved glass manufacture leaves no room for dimensional variation, and the project’s short turnaround added complexity. SGP overcame these challenges by leveraging specialist expertise and precision machinery to produce each panel within tight tolerances. SGP also implemented a fast-track production schedule without compromising on quality. Extra care was taken during handling to protect the glass during transport to the site.
The outcome
